About StatLingo

Breaking language barriers in healthcare, one phrase at a time.

Our Mission

StatLingo exists to ensure that no patient receives lesser care because of the language they speak. We believe effective communication is the foundation of quality healthcare, and we are building the tools to make it possible for every frontline healthcare worker to connect with every patient, regardless of language.

Our goal is simple: give nurses, CNAs, technicians, and other healthcare professionals the ability to communicate essential information clearly, accurately, and instantly in their patients' native languages.

The Problem We Solve

Over 25 million people in the United States have limited English proficiency (LEP), and that number continues to grow. In healthcare settings, language barriers lead to misdiagnoses, medication errors, longer hospital stays, and lower patient satisfaction. Studies show that patients with LEP experience up to 25% more adverse events compared to English-speaking patients.

While professional interpreters are essential for complex medical discussions, they are not always available for the hundreds of routine interactions that happen every shift: checking vitals, explaining meal options, asking about pain levels, or providing discharge instructions. These everyday moments matter enormously for patient comfort, safety, and trust.

StatLingo bridges this gap by putting verified, context-aware multilingual phrases directly in the hands of the healthcare workers who need them most.

Our Approach

We built StatLingo from the ground up for the unique demands of healthcare environments. Three core principles guide every decision we make:

Offline-First

Healthcare facilities often have unreliable connectivity. StatLingo works without internet, ensuring communication is never interrupted when it matters most.

Verified Phrases

Every phrase in our library is reviewed by medical professionals and native-language speakers. No machine translation guesswork for critical healthcare communication.

Context-Aware

StatLingo organizes phrases by clinical scenario, not just language. Quickly find exactly what you need for vitals, medication, pain assessment, and more.

Our Team

StatLingo was founded by healthcare technology professionals who witnessed firsthand the daily challenges that language barriers create in clinical settings. Our team combines deep expertise in healthcare operations, linguistics, mobile development, and user experience design.

We work closely with nurses, CNAs, interpreters, and healthcare administrators to ensure that StatLingo meets the real-world needs of frontline care teams. Every feature we build starts with conversations with the people who will use it.

Our advisory board includes practicing healthcare professionals, certified medical interpreters, and health equity researchers who help guide our clinical content and product roadmap.

Our Values

Safety

Patient safety is our north star. Every phrase is medically verified, and we are transparent about the boundaries of our tool.

Accessibility

We design for the busiest, most stressed users: frontline healthcare workers. Simple, fast, and intuitive is not optional.

Reliability

Healthcare never stops, and neither does StatLingo. Offline-first architecture means the app works when and where you need it.

Privacy

We collect no patient data. Period. On-device storage and no cloud dependency means your data stays yours.
